Managing a Project: Measure Tab

The Measure tab within a project allows you to view, create, and manage all measurement reports associated with that specific project in ProLine.

Using Partner Integrations

If your ProLine account is integrated with one or more of our measurement partners, you’ll see their icons displayed next to the New Report button. Supported partners include:

  • Hover

  • EagleView

  • RoofScope

  • GAF QuickMeasure

These integrations allow you to either:

  • Place a new measurement order directly through the integration, or

  • Import an existing report that has already been created

Creating a Manual Measurement Report

If you’d like to manually enter measurements:

  1. Click New Report.

  2. Enter a name for your report and click Save.

  3. Input your measurement data into the appropriate measurement attribute fields.

Note: Measurement attributes (such as roof squares, eaves, ridge length, etc.) come preloaded in your ProLine account, but they can be customized under Company Settings → Measurement.

See our linked article for details: Company Settings: Measurement

Multi-Structure Support

ProLine supports multi-structure measurement reports, allowing you to capture measurements for multiple structures under a single project.

Common examples include:

  • Main House

  • Detached Garage

  • Storage Shed

  • Pool House

Each structure within a report will share the same measurement attributes but will contain unique measurement values based on that individual structure’s data.

Why Measurements Matter

Your measurement data is the foundation of your quoting and estimating process in ProLine.

Accurate measurements ensure that:

  • Material quantities are calculated correctly.

  • Pricing in your quotes is consistent with job size and scope.

  • Waste factors and production planning are accurate.

Measurements can be edited at any time to refine your project data as updates become available.
