Company Settings: Other - Deleting Account

This is a guide to explain deleting your ProLine account and why you should think twice on it.

Written by Laura Acosta

Accessing the Delete Account Option

  1. Click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top left corner of your ProLine account.

  2. Scroll down and select "Company Settings"

  3. A new window will appear in your browser

  4. Scroll to the very bottom on the left hand side you will see the "Others" tab.

This option is intentionally separate from all others and should almost never be used without careful consideration.

What Does the “Delete ProLine Account” Button Do?

Clicking this button removes your access to your ProLine account. Your data is retained by ProLine for a period of time to allow you to reactivate your account if needed.

  • If you're on a paid plan, you will be prompted to first downgrade to the free Basic plan.

  • Only after your account is downgraded to the free plan will the delete option become available.

Users have the right to fully erase their information from ProLine. This ability to delete your data is provided to comply with privacy regulations and data protection laws in various jurisdictions.

What Happens to Your Data After Deletion?

When you delete your account:

  • Your access is removed immediately: You will no longer be able to log in to your ProLine account.

  • Your data is retained temporarily: ProLine keeps your account data for a period of time to support account reactivation if you change your mind.

  • Data may be purged eventually: ProLine may occasionally purge inactive account data. If this happens, you will receive a 90-day notice via email before your data is permanently deleted.

  • You can reactivate before permanent deletion: If you receive a data purge notice and want to keep your account, contact ProLine Support within the 90-day notice period to reactivate your account and preserve your data.

Why Is It Dangerous?

  • Loss of Access: Deleting your account removes your ability to log in and access your data immediately. While data is retained temporarily, you will need to contact support to restore access and once the retention period is over, your account and all its data are gone for good. There is no way to retrieve any information after this point.

  • Better Alternative – Downgrade: Instead of deleting your account, consider simply downgrading. When you downgrade:

    • Your data is preserved.

    • You can return and reactivate your account at any time.

    • You maintain full access to your account and data without needing to contact support for reactivation.

Final Recommendation

Use the Delete ProLine Account feature only if you no longer need access to your ProLine account. For most users, downgrading is the safer and more flexible path because you maintain immediate access to your data.

Important: If you delete your account and later decide you want to return, contact ProLine Support as soon as possible. Your data may still be available for reactivation. If you receive a 90-day data purge notice via email, respond promptly if you want to preserve your data.

If you're unsure, reach out to ProLine Support before taking any irreversible steps.
