Company Settings: Price List - Import CSV

If you're looking to upload a large number of price items into your ProLine account without manually adding them one-by-one, the Import Price List functionality allows you to complete this in bulk.

Accessing the Import Tool

  1. Click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top left corner of your ProLine account.

  2. Scroll down and select "Company Settings"

  3. A new window will appear in your browser

  4. On the left side of the screen find the “Price List”

  5. Locate the Import/Export Buttons:

    • On the right side of the filtered price list view, you'll see two arrow icons:

      • Downward Arrow (↓): Downloads your current price list.

      • Upward Arrow (↑): Opens the import window to upload a price list.

Preparing Your Price List for Import

  1. Click the Import Button (Upward Arrow).

  2. In the window that opens, click the blue "Sample Price List" link.

    • This will download a CSV template to your device.

    • Open the file to see the required column structure for your upload.

Required Columns in the CSV Template

  • ID (Optional): Use only if updating an existing item.

  • Name: Title of the price item.

  • Price: Cost per unit.

  • Unit of Measurement: e.g., square, each, linear foot, etc.

  • Category: Match to your predefined cost categories. If none, leave blank.

  • Calculation (Optional): Better handled within the UI next to each line item.

  • Minimum Quantity (Optional).

  • Description (Optional): Description visible on quotes/orders.

Uploading Your Price List

  1. Once your CSV is filled out:

    • Either drag and drop the file into the designated box, or

    • Click the box to browse and upload from your device.

  2. Supported file formats:

    • .CSV, .XLSX, or .XLS

  3. Once uploaded:

    • The system will begin importing the list.

    • When complete, your new price items will be visible in your price list.

Post-Upload Management

After importing, you can:

  • Add or edit measurement calculations.

  • Edit item names or descriptions.

  • Add variations (colors or sizes).

  • Link to suppliers (such as QXO & ABC Supply).

This feature is especially useful when transitioning from another system or when launching a new location with its own price list.

Using this import method ensures efficient, accurate, and scalable item management across your account.
