Quote Pages: Text Page

Learn how to add and configure a Text Page in your quote templates or project-level quotes to display formatted written content, personalized messaging, embedded media, and more.

Written by Laura Acosta

Overview

Text Pages give you full control over the written content in your quotes. Think of them as a built-in word processor inside ProLine — you can write, format, and personalize content just like you would in a document editor, directly within your quote.

Each Text Page includes a rich text editor with full formatting options, a banner image slot for branded headers, support for variables and tokens for dynamic and interactive content, and the ability to add Quote Page Content Cells to collect information from customers.

How to Access and Add a Text Page

There are two ways to add a Text Page depending on your current context:

Option 1: Via Quote Templates

  1. Click the hamburger menu (☰)Company Settings (this opens a new browser tab).

  2. Select Quote Templates from the left menu.

  3. Open an existing template using the pencil icon, or click +Add Quote Template to create a new one, or Add Quote Template from Library to import a pre-built template.

  4. Click the blue +Add a page button in the left sidebar.

📱App users: You'll first need to tap Edit (found in the "You are in view mode" banner) before the +Add a page button becomes available.

  5. Select Text from the Page Type dropdown and enter a page name (e.g., Introduction, Terms & Conditions, Warranty Details).

  6. Click the Add blue button.

The Text Page will now appear in the Pages list on the left sidebar.

Option 2: Via a Project

  1. Open a project and go to the Quotes tab.

  2. Click the pencil icon next to the quote you want to edit.

  3. Click the blue +Add a page button in the left sidebar.

📱App users: You'll first need to tap Edit (found in the "You are in view mode" banner) before the +Add a page button becomes available.

  4. Select From Scratch.

  5. Select Text from the Page Type dropdown and enter a page name.

  6. Click the Add blue button.

The Text Page will now appear in the Pages list on the left sidebar, and will be added to that specific quote only.

💡 When clicking Add Page, the option "From Template" lets you pull an existing page from another quote template.

Enter and Formatting Text

Once you've added a Text Page, click on it in the left sidebar to open it in the editor. The Page Builder tab will display the text editor, banner image area, formatting toolbar, and all editing options.

Click anywhere in the text area to begin typing or paste your content. The editor supports:

  • Undo / Redo — Step backward or forward through your changes

  • Font & Size — Choose your preferred font and adjust the text size

  • Format — Switch between Paragraph, Heading, and other text styles

  • Bold, Underline, Italic, Strikethrough — Emphasize or style your text

  • Font Color & Highlight — Change the color of your text or add a background highlight

  • Indent — Increase or decrease the indentation of your content

  • Alignment — Align your text to the left, center, right, or justify it

  • Divider — Insert a horizontal line to visually separate sections

  • Bulleted List — Organize your content into an easy-to-read list

  • Table — Insert a table to structure data in rows and columns

  • Line Height — Adjust the spacing between lines of text to improve readability

  • Hyperlink — Add a clickable link to any text

  • Image — Upload or embed an image directly into your content

  • Code View — Switch to code view to edit the raw HTML of your content

Using Variables for Personalization

Variables automatically insert project or customer information into the Text Page, letting you create content that updates for each quote without rewriting details.

Option 1: Using the Variables link

  1. In the blue info banner at the top of the Page Builder, click the word variables.

  2. A popup will appear showing all available variables.

  3. Click the dropdown of the variable you want — this reveals the variable in curly brackets (e.g., {{contact_fname}}). You can click on the variable to copy to your clipboard.

  4. Paste the variable into the text editor where you want it to appear.

Option 2: Typing directly

  1. Click in the text area where you want to insert a variable.

  2. Type an opening curly brace: {

  3. A dropdown will appear — select the variable you want and it will be inserted automatically.

Common variables:

Using Tokens for Special Functions

Tokens add interactive or embedded elements directly into a Text Page. Click the word tokens in the blue info banner to open the available token list.

Token

Function

Example Use Case

[INITIAL]

Adds a required "initial" field into the text for legal purposes.

Terms or disclaimers requiring customer acknowledgment

[SIGNATURE_DATE]

Adds the signature date and time of the quote, after all signers have signed.

Quotes that require a verified signing completion date for legal or record-keeping purposes.

[YOUTUBE:ID]

Add a YouTube video into the page. Replace ID with the YouTube video ID.

Company overview, service explanation, or marketing video

[VIMEO:ID]

Add a Vimeo video into the page. Replace ID with the Vimeo video ID.

Drone footage, walkthroughs, or training clips

Warranty pages, product specs, or landing pages

Copy and paste the token into the text editor where you want it to appear.

Adding a Banner Image

At the top of the page, you'll find the Banner image section:

  1. Click "Upload banner image".

    • Accepted formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG — max file size: 2MB.

  2. Select where to upload from:

    • Project Files — Displays files tied to the project. If you're editing a quote template (from Company Settings), you'll see a "Select Project" button to pull files from a specific project instead.

    • Company Files — Shows files previously uploaded to ProLine's Company Files section. More details about this here.

    • Upload — Lets you upload a file directly from your device.

The image will appear at the top of the page, above the text content.

Common banner examples: company logos, branded headers, or section titles like Terms and Conditions or Scope of Work that help visually separate sections of your quote.

Quick Notes on Text Pages

  • Content Cells can be added to a Text Page to collect information from customers or display structured content directly within the quote. For a full walkthrough on setting up and configuring Content Cells, refer to the Adding Content Cells to Quote Pages guide.

  • You can also Duplicate, or Delete the page at the top right corner of the Page Builder.

  • All changes are autosaved — you'll see "Changes are autosaved" in the top-right corner.

  • Use the visibility checkbox on each page to hide it from customers while keeping it in the template.

Common Use Cases

Text Pages work well for a wide range of quote content, including:

  • Customer introduction or cover letter pages

  • Terms and conditions with [INITIAL] fields for acknowledgment

  • Warranty details and coverage explanations

  • Scope of work descriptions

  • Disclaimers and legal language

  • Project instructions and customer responsibilities

  • Embedded videos explaining services or products

  • Personalized content using variables
