Data Manager: Activities

The Activities tab in the Data Manager provides a view of all project activity in your ProLine account. This section displays every recorded action in chronological order, making it easy to track recent updates and historical changes across all projects.

Viewing Project Activity

Each row in the Activities list contains three key columns:

  1. Project Name – Displays the project name as it appears in your account. This could be based on the customer name or the project address, depending on your setup.

  2. Activity Item – Shows what specifically changed or occurred within that project (a stage update, document upload, or assigned user change).

  3. Open Project – A box icon appears in this column. Clicking it will open the selected project in a new browser tab for quick access.

Filtering and Searching

To refine your view, you can search and filter activity using one of three options:

  • By Project – Filter activity to only see changes related to a specific project.

  • By Start Date – View project activity beginning on or after a selected date.

  • By End Date – Limit activity results to those occurring before a specified date.

These filters make it simple to focus on particular projects, time periods, or milestones.

Importing Activity Data

The CSV Activity Importer allows you to upload historical activity logs into your ProLine account.

This is especially useful during onboarding when migrating from another CRM or project management system, ensuring all past activity is retained for reference.

To use it:

  1. Export your activity data from your previous system as a CSV file.

  2. Upload it via the Activity Importer tool.

  3. Once complete, your imported activities will appear in the same chronological list as native ProLine activity.

Best Use Case

The Activities tab is ideal for:

  • Tracking recent project updates across your entire company.

  • Reviewing change history for accountability or reporting purposes.

  • Migrating historical activity data when transitioning to ProLine.
