Overview
The Structure page is the foundation of your quote. It lets you define common line items that apply to every option under it, keeping base costs consistent and making it easier to manage quotes with Good, Better, Best options or multiple structures.
By centralizing common items — such as labor and materials items — within the Structure page, you can maintain consistency across options while keeping each option focused only on what makes it unique.
What a Structure Page Does
A Structure page defines common line items that apply to all Option subpages placed under it. Each Structure page manages its own set of common line items — they apply only to the Option pages nested within that specific structure.
Common line items are costs that don't change based on package level or add-on selection — things like labor, tear-off, drip edge, underlayment, flashing, boots and vents, and permit fees. These belong on the Structure page.
Unique line items are those that apply only to a specific option or add-on — such as the shingle brand for a Best package, a premium underlayment upgrade, or designer ridge caps. These belong on Option or Add-on pages, not on the Structure page.
Keeping these two categories separate prevents duplicate pricing, makes options easier for customers to compare, and ensures consistent base costs across all packages.
Note: Structure pages are optional. For simple quotes with no different options to present to the customer, a Structure page is not needed. If you are not using a Structure page and want to present multiple packages, all line items will need to be manually added to each option separately.
How to Access and Add a Structure Page
There are two ways to add a Structure Page depending on your current context:
Option 1: Via Quote Templates
Click the hamburger menu (☰) → Company Settings (this opens a new browser tab).
Select Quote Templates from the left menu.
Open an existing template using the pencil icon, or click +Add Quote Template to create a new one, or Add Quote Template from Library to import a pre-built template.
Click the blue +Add a page button in the left sidebar.
📱App users: You'll first need to tap Edit (found in the "You are in view mode" banner) before the +Add a page button becomes available.Select Structure from the Page Type dropdown and enter a page name (e.g., Roof Structure, Home Structure).
Click the blue Add button.
The Structure Page will now appear in the Pages list on the left sidebar.
Note: You can only have one Structure Page per quote template.
Option 2: Via a Project
Open a project and click the Quote tab.
Click the pencil icon on the quote you want to edit.
Click the blue +Add a page button in the left sidebar.
📱App users: You'll first need to tap Edit (found in the "You are in view mode" banner) before the +Add a page button becomes available.Select From Scratch.
Select Structure from the Page Type dropdown and enter a page name.
Click the Add blue button.
💡 When clicking Add a Page, the option "From Template" lets you pull an existing page from another quote template.
The Structure Page will now appear in the Pages list on the left sidebar, and will be added to that specific quote only.
Configuring a Structure Page
Renaming a Structure Page
To rename a page, click the pencil icon on the blue bar at the top of the page editor where the page name appears.
Adding Line Items
Most users will already have their line items set up in the Price List. When adding a line item, the search field pulls directly from your Price List. Only if you are creating a brand new line item that doesn't exist in your Price List yet would you need to enter the price, margin, and other details manually.
To add a line item:
In the Structure Line Items section, click +Add Line Item at the bottom of the table.
A modal will appear — select Line Item to add a pricing item, or Section Header to add an organizational label.
Search for the item name to pull it from your Price List, or enter new item details.
Click Add.
Each line item in the table displays action icons on the right:

Eye icon | Shows or hides the line item in the customer-facing quote |
Gear icon | Opens settings to edit, replace, unlock, or delete the item |
Note: The columns available in the line items table depend on where you're editing. At the project level, the table displays Supplier, Type, Cost, Qty, and Price. In Company Settings, only Supplier and Type are shown — pricing details are not available at the template level.
Organizing with Section Headers
Section headers help group related line items visually — for example, Base Materials, Labor Costs, or Permits and Fees. To add one, click +Add Line Item, select Section Header in the modal, enter a label, and click Add.
Adding Option and Add-on Pages as Subpages
To take advantage of Structure Line Items inheritance, Option and Add-on pages must be placed as subpages under the Structure page. In the left sidebar, drag and drop the page onto the Structure page to nest it underneath.
Inheritance rules:
Option pages placed under a Structure page automatically inherit all Structure Line Items
Add-on pages placed under a Structure page do not inherit Structure Line Items — they only display their own unique items
Page Actions
At the top-right corner of the page editor:

Duplicate (project level only) | Creates a copy of the Structure page with all its line items and subpage organization |
Delete | Removes the Structure page and all subpages nested under it |
More (project level only) | Reveals additional options: Measurements: Pulls up the measurement report used on the quote. Re-calculate: Recalculates line item quantities in this group based on their formulas. If multiple measurement reports exist, you can select which one to apply using the Structure dropdown. |
Note: The Duplicate button is only available at the project level — since templates in Company Settings only support one Structure page, the option to duplicate does not appear there. The More button will appear in both contexts, but its options (Measurements, Re-calculate) are only available when editing a project-level quote.
Multi-Structure Projects
When a measurement report includes multiple structures, ProLine automatically duplicates the Structure page once per structure. Each structure gets its own set of Structure Line Items, Option pages, and Add-on pages, and each behaves independently — so a customer could select the Best package for the house and the Good package for the garage, or decline the gutter add-on for the garage while accepting it for the house.
Without a Structure page, this multi-structure behavior is not possible.
Common Use Cases
Good, Better, Best roofing packages — Place labor, tear-off, underlayment, and permits on the Structure page so they apply to all three packages automatically. Each Option page only needs the shingle line item that makes it unique.
House and detached garage — Use a Structure page for each building so customers can independently select packages and add-ons for both structures in a single quote.
Main roof and patio cover — Separate the two structures so the customer can choose a premium shingle for the main roof and a standard package for the patio without the costs mixing.
Multi-unit properties — Organize each unit as its own structure so pricing stays clean and customers can approve each section independently.
Quick Notes on Structure Pages
All changes are autosaved — you'll see "Changes are autosaved" in the top-right corner.
Use the visibility checkbox on each page to hide it from customers while keeping it in the template.
If a Structure page has no Option pages nested underneath it, no price will be reflected on the quote. Add-on pages are not affected by this — since they don't inherit Structure Line Items, they will only display their own unique items regardless of placement.
